At the recent Executive Committee meeting, the bid from the Polish city Szczecin proved favourable although the venue needed to be checked which was done by UEG’s General Director Kirsi Erofejeff-Engman (FIN) and Men’s Technical Committee President Jacky Wischnia (ISR).
With close to 400.000 inhabitants, Szczecin is a city with an extraordinary history and great location. The competition will be held at the Azoty Arena, home of top teams in futsal, volleyball and handball. Built in 2014, the venue offers space for 5000 spectators.
At the recent European Championships in Cluj-Napoca (ROU), which follows the same format as the 2019 event, observers from Poland were present and the contract between UEG and Local Organising Committee was signed by Mr. Ireneusz Nowak, Chairman of Zegluga Szczeniska.
We hope to welcome you all from 10 to 14 April 2019 in Szczecin (POL)!
